The John Henrys - Sweet As The Grain (9lb / True North) What do you get if you cross the spirit of Gram Parsons, the tight / loose groove of The Band and the cracking guitar work of James Burton? The new album from The John Henrys of course! This is a beauty from start to finish. In fact my favourite track is the last track "Golden Train" which is a wonderful pastiche to the old Elvis classic "Mystery Train". However, there’s no weak or filler material here, just quality songs beautifully played. If you like any of the musical references in the first sentence, then you have to buy this.
