Marianne Allison - From The Water (Independent) You know the feeling you get when a friend plays you an album of an artist you've never heard of before, and it's sensational - well this is one of those times. This is a cracker of an album from start to finish. These songs ooze class, and although this is a female artist her songs remind me of Neil Finn's material in that the choruses just fly and take you the listener to another level. From the opening track "Blink of an Eye" which is guitar driven pop/rock right through to the end track "It's Not Too Late" which is so heartfelt and soulful, the quality never falters.
