The Blackberries - So Obvious (Independent) The Blackberries claim to be Milwaukee’s premier indie / rock / soul band. It’s a pity that doesn’t transfer to CD in what is a rather stilted offering that hints at a fine live sound but disappoints in its off key singing and out of time drumming. The quality of songwriting, a rather eighties take on a rather eighties genre is pretty good, even if there is a rather sterile quality in the undercooked pacing. The band has shared the stage with The Trucks, who we have reviewed favourably here.
