Heather Waters - Propeller (Mighty Like A Rosebud)
This is a CD that rocks and rolls for this Chicago born singer. Having relocated to Nashville (where else?) she then recorded this self produced album in L.A. naturally! It has that West Coast sound and feel in the up tempo songs particularly “Wait For Me” and “Wherever You Go” which could easily be Stevie Nicks singing solo or Fleetwood Mac material. Rami Jaffee of The Foo Fighters on hearing “Wait For Me” said “that song is incredible”. Praise indeed! However, she is much more than this, and she shows her soulful and blues(y) side particularly on “Jukebox”. A varied album of strong material well sung. An essential Americana purchase. www.heatherwaters.com
