Ana Egge - Road To My Love (Grace / Parkinsong) This is the sixth album from this award winning artist. She is highly regarded by her contemporaries, Ron Sexsmith, Shawn Colvin and Lucinda Williams amongst others, and it’s easy to hear why. This is an eclectic mix of songs, sang with feeling and passion. The album starts with an up-to-the-minute sounding full-tempo track, “Storm Comin'”. However, this is slightly deceptive as the rest of the CD is more soulful and reflective. The soulful side is evident on "New Tattoo" and, "Quitting Early". She finishes the album with a thoughtful and personal version of "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot" which highlights her stunning voice and David Lindley(esque) dobro playing.
