Cosy Sheridan - Eros (Wind River) This is the ninth album from this award winning singer-songwriter, and this is folk music with attitude! In "Row" she nails her colours to the mast when she sings "romance is one thing, love is another". She is straightforward and to the point in her lyrics and this gives the songs a glorious tension. Although essentaially a folk artist, she can belt out a song as if her life depends on it and "The Beauty Cream" is the song she and the musicians get to stretch out on. The best folk music should reflect real life and in "Happiness Is Waiting" she sings tongue in cheek about the banality of hanging out the washing - real life indeed!
