Eco Kettle (Product Creation)
If you'd like to consider yourself an eco warrior whilst just drinking your (Fair Trade) tea, then this is for you. This kettle introduces a new two compartment design whereby you fill the main 7 cup capacity reservoir, then when you need to boil up for a brew, you simply press a valve/ button on the top to introduce water to the boiling chamber.

This means by using the cup markings on the transparent chamber, you can easily measure the exact amount of water you need to boil, as opposed to the old fill it up to the top for one cup of tea we’ve all been guilty of, and as boiling a kettle is one of ther most energy consuming activities in the home, it can really save you some money.
The auto shut off comes as standard as does a cut out to stop the kettle being switched on whilst the boil chamber is empty.

I’ve been using this for some time now and I must say the enjoyment of filling the boiling chamber still hasn’t worn off. I think it’s a mixture of feeling like I’m doing the world some good, for which one day I’ll be recognised and rewarded, and the challenge of getting the water as close to the correct fill mark as possible.
My only criticism of this kettle is its measurements in cups not mugs. As 1 cup equals only half a mug you have to double up for mug drinkers which, when guests come around, can lead to maths.
